There are a lot of really great BI packages out there, and many of them come with pre-built integrations to Dynamics GP. But the fact is, it’s going to take some time for businesses to select and configure any one of them. In the mean time, there’s the Analysis Cubes Server for Dynamics GP.
If you are running Dynamics GP version 10 or higher, Analysis Cubes Server is included with your license. Analysis Cubes Server is a fully functional, pre-configured set of OLAP cubes including the integration packages to move data from Dynamics GP into those cubes. The entire thing is built on SQL Server Analysis and Integration Services (SSAS and SSIS).
The cubes can then be accessed by users through any tool that supports OLAP Analysis, such as Excel or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Dynamics GP even includes an interface where users can easily create refreshable, interactive Excel Pivot Table reports.
If you are running Dynamics GP 2010 or higher, the cubes and their corresponding integration packages can also be modified to meet the individual company’s specific needs.
